Eco Committee
At our school, we believe that even the smallest voices can make a big difference. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our Children’s Eco Committee—a passionate group of pupils dedicated to protecting the planet and promoting sustainability within our school community.
The Eco Committee is made up of representatives from each class who meet regularly with Mrs Wright to discuss environmental issues, plan eco-friendly initiatives, and inspire others to take action. Guided by staff and supported by the wider school, these young changemakers are learning how to be responsible global citizens.
What We Do:
- 🌿 Recycling Champions: We monitor recycling bins, encourage waste reduction, and educate others on how to recycle properly.
- 💡 Energy Savers: We remind classes to turn off lights and devices when not in use and promote energy-efficient habits.
- 🌼 Green Spaces: We help maintain the school garden, plant flowers and vegetables, and learn about biodiversity.
- 🚶♀️ Eco-Friendly Travel: We promote walking, cycling, and carpooling to reduce our carbon footprint.
- 📣 Awareness Campaigns: We create posters, lead assemblies, and run events like Earth Day and Switch-Off Fortnight
